Choral Evensong

Sunday 16 October

For some, it's the very essence of the Church of England at its best:
the words of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer sung by a choir as the day draws to a close; the last rays of the sun illuminating the great west window as a solo voice chants:
Lighten our darkness, we beseech thee, O Lord;
  and by thy great mercy defend us
       from all perils and dangers of this night;
for the love of thy only Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
A service with time and space for being Godwards, carried by the music and enveloped by the language and the architecture.
This is Choral Evensong, happening in our church on Sunday 16 October at 16.00 and available live on Zoom, here.
