Love bids us welcome
Second Sunday of Advent
07 November
This Sunday
09.30-09.50 Morning Prayer
Starting the day Godwards.
A simple said service in the chancel of the church, using the psalms and silence and candles.
Quiet enough to hear the blackbird sing.
Love bids us welcome.
Gathering from east and west and north and south, children and grown-ups together, to prepare the way.
With hymns and scripture and silence and Pamela Henderson wondering aloud with us, and bread and wine.
In the church and on Zoom:

With fika in the Hall afterwards for everyone.
And the second of our Christmas Choir rehearsals beginning at 12.45.
And don’t forget to bring in your clean good-quality winter clothing to donate and we’ll make sure it gets to people who really need it.
11.00-12.15 The Eucharist
16.00-16.45 Children’s Christingle Carols
And a few mice
A service for children and their grown-ups, telling the old, old story of the Bethlehem baby, helped by our children’s choir.
With all your favourite carols, a crib to assemble, and candles in a darkenened church as we sing Away in a Manger.
Ending as we mean to go on
Time to reflect on and hand over the day, with prayers for people from the congregation, in the company of others, and with the chance to say Goodnight.
On Zoom, here.
