Love bids us welcome

25 January

Ending the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

This Sunday

09.30-09.50 Morning Prayer

Starting the day Godwards.

A simple said service in the chancel of the church, using the psalms and silence and candles.

Quiet enough to hear the blackbird sing.

Love bids us welcome.

Gathering from east and west and north and south, as we celebrate our life in God and get our bearings in a turbulent world and a divided church.

Ecumenically, we welcome the wonderful Ulf Lindgren from the Church of Sweden, to wonder aloud with us.

With hymns and scripture and silence, with wondering aloud and bread and wine. And dedicating our latest batch of generously donated hymn books.

And Godly Play for the children.

In the church and on Zoom.

With fika in the Hall afterwards for everyone.

11.00-12.15 The Eucharist

Home from home at Storkyrkan in Gamla Stan

In the round, together, in the heart of the Old Town for a quiet and contemplative service of Holy Communion in English, led by Nick Howe our Chaplain, with a Cathedral musician.

18.00-18.45 Holy Communion

Ending as we mean to go on

Time to reflect on and hand over the day, with prayers for people from the congregation, in the company of others, and with the chance to say Goodnight.

On Zoom, here.
