Love bids us welcome
in the Season of Creation
21 September
Harvest Sunday
09.30-09.50 Morning Prayer
Starting the day Godwards.
A simple said service in the chancel of the church, with psalms and plenty of silence.
Quiet enough to hear the blackbird sing.
11.00-12.15 The Eucharist
Love bids us welcome
We gather together from east and west and north and south, with gratitude to God for all good gifts around us.
If you're coming to church, do bring fruit and vegetables - or jam or tins of beans or bottles of beer or packets of pasta or dal or any foodstuffs that make you glad.
There'll be bread and wine waiting.
And honey!
We'll offer them all with thanksgiving, with harvest hymns and our Children's Choir.
In church and on Zoom.
With our Youth Group fior teenagers.
And afterwards there's fika and our Harvest Auction: half-an-hour of reckless bidding for all that harvest produce, to top-up the funds of Médecins Sans Frontières.
Home-from-home at Storkyrkan
A quiet and meditative service in the round in the extraordinary space of Stockholm Cathedral in Gamla Stan, in English.
Led by Nick Howe our Chaplain, with music from a Cathedral musician.
18.00-18.45 Holy Communion
Ending as we mean to go on
Time to reflect on and hand over the day, with a simple pattern of prayer, in the company of others. and with the chance to say Goodnight.
Arrive anytime from 21.15 if you’d like a chat before we begin.
On Zoom, here.
